GGD-27 is a protostar (with neighbors) in an interesting field in Sagittarius about 5,000 ly away. The little protostars are emerging from the dense, elongated patch of dust which runs through this part of the giant Sagittarius emission field.
GGD stands for Gyulbudaghian, Glushkov, and Denisyuk, 3 Armenian astronomers who put together a list of Herbig Haro objects.
