The “Jewel Box” is the youngest open cluster at 14 million years old. It lies in the “Coalsack Nebula” region of the southern sky. While all the cluster’s stars were born at the same time the prominent topaz one is a red giant which has already evolved off the main sequence before the rest of its siblings.
