This seldom photographed object is a “Super Bubble” in the Large Magellanic Cloud. Super Bubbles are believed to be formed by a series of supernova explosions which carve out a balloon or bubble shaped cavity in space. The first Herbig-Haro object ever discovered outside our own galaxy was found in N51D.
