This image shows some of the interacting galaxies in the Hickson 90 Group. At 100 million ly 2 old ellipticals on the right are tearing a spiral apart – tugging it in different directions. Star material from all 3 has been cast off to form a shell around the event. Another edge-on spiral can be seen on the left like an observer to the event.
