This is an annular planetary nebula. Its about 4900 ly away in Norma, and is relatively young at 8700 years. The ring system is
torus shaped and it surrounds a binary system. Its orbit is perpendicular to the earth, and so we are looking down on it. The nebula is about 1/3rd of a light year in diameter, and resembles a bicycle tire.
