This pair of intriguing galaxies lie 60 million ly away in the relatively obscure constellation of “Telescopium”.
They are IC4839 on the left and IC4837 on the right. Nice spiral next to a pretty messed up one. Just above the disturbed IC4837 lies the very small galaxy PGC417432. Its distance is unknown but it may well the culprit that is mis-shaping IC4837.
