Gabriela Mistrial was a famous Chilean poet. She was born and raised in the Elqui region, where the observatories Cerro Tololo, Cerro Pachon and Cerro Morado are found. She won the Nobel prize for her poetry, and her biography contains a photo of her.
The nebula NGC3324 was named after her down there because they felt it bore a resemblance to that photo. This is not readily apparent in an LRGB, and appears much better in a narrow band image.
