NGC6905 – Chile

NGC6905 is known as the “Blue Flash” nebula. It is a planetary lying about 6500 ly away in the constellation Delphinus.

The central star is similar to a Wolf-Rayet and is rich in oxygen. Its original mass is estimated to have been about
that of the sun, and has now shrunk to about 60% of that. Note the lateral “Saturn like” expansion of the nebula.
